How do you unleash a trainer meant for speed in cities that slow you down?
HOKA
Speed Lanes
Every runner knows the challenge of training in the city. Crowded pavements, congested streets, and the constant need to keep your eyes on all but the road ahead.
So when HOKA challenged us to launch the Cielo X1 3.0, their fastest running shoe yet, we knew we had to clear the way.

Milan, Italy
In Milan, a pedestrian bridge stretching across a busy motorway was transformed
into an epic 200-metre Speedlane.
Runners were invited to go head to head alongside HOKA athletes Giulia Cordazzo
and Mattia Padovani in two rounds to
beat the clock and chase the local
"Speed Crown".
London / Newcastle/ Edinburgh, UK
Across the UK, we transformed iconic landmarks into dedicated HOKA Speedlanes.
From a 150-metre timed sprint across
Newcastle’s Millennium Bridge, to a
full takeover of the historic Herne
Hill Velodrome in London, where run
clubs took on a timed circuit
race culminating in the ultimate
challenge: the “Speed of Light”
lap, a high-speed finale where they
discovered just how fast they could
go in the HOKA Cielo X1.
Barcelona, Spain
Taking place as a high-energy shakeout event ahead of the Barcelona Marathon,
this speed lane gave runners the chance
to go full throttle in the Ciello X1s and see who could drop the fastest time on an official HOKA speed radar.
Paris, France
HOKA Speed Lanes brought an immersive celebration of speed to Paris during half-marathon week. Runners could test the Cielo X1 3.0 beneath illuminated arches, with smoke effects and live speed tracking bringing each effort to life.
Dublin, NI
HOKA Speed Lanes brought the energy of relay racing to Dublin. This time the activation brought runners together to experience the Cielo X1 3.0 through shared effort and friendly competition, putting teamwork and speed at the heart of the experience.
